Writing Through Illustration with Kullest Fafa & Wani Ardy

Aktiviti yang saya aturkan hari ini berbeza sama sekali dengan bengkel-bengkel lain yang pernah saya libatkan diri. Kali ini saya menemani cikgu Kullest Fafa, ilustrator buku saya, dan sama-sama kami akan buktikan pada awak bahawa awak sebenarnya bukan tak ada idea untuk menulis- idea itu dah tersedia pun dalam kepala awak, cumanya awak perlukan 'tools' yang tepat untuk menjentik keluar idea tersebut. Kita akan main dengan visual dan ilustrasi. Jom piknik petang ini, percuma!

Meet the illustrator and author of the newly-released 'IKHLAS: An Illustrated Memoir of Conversations'! Side-by-side, they will show you how writer's block is a myth and using illustration is one of the great ways to trigger your ideas.

KULLEST FAFA

A 32 years old teacher-doodler-illustrator who doodles for a living and teaches Visual Arts, Bahasa Malaysia, and English Language to schoolers. A mommy to 8 cats, she makes the coolest tuna sandwiches in Sri Iskandar. Been drawing and doodling since forever as they are her cathartic release. The illustrator of 'IKHLAS: An Illustrated Memoir of Conversations', she prioritizes sending messages through drawings or doodles more than speaking them out loud.

WANI ARDY

Wani Ardy is a creative writer, poet, and independent singer-songwriter. Hailing from Subang Jaya, she has been based in Ipoh since 2016, leaving her long-term job as a lecturer at a public university. Wani wears many hats; she is writer/editor at Sang Freud Press and RIPTA, chief editor at CQ Malaysia, teacher at Pondok Puisi, founder of Pasar Boco, and has 15 years of experience in creative writing and the performing arts. Along with her band Wani Ardy & the Guitar Polygamy, they represented Malaysia at Jakarta’s MOCA Festival and Singapore’s Cipta Cita Festival. Of the 8 books Wani has published, two were bestsellers. She writes in Bahasa Malaysia, English Language, and Javanese.
